At Studio West we put students at the centre of everything we do. As a studio school, our holistic curriculum, which includes links with local business partners, provides opportunities for students to develop and apply a range of skills, including teamwork, critical thinking and broader life skills. Students of all abilities can thrive in this exciting learning environment, which nurtures their aspiration and improves their life chances, with high expectations and a good quality of education.

We are delighted to be part of Northern Leaders Trust and together we are committed to providing an excellent education for the children in our communities. We want every student to achieve their academic potential and grow in confidence as future leaders.
With the support of our colleagues in the Northern Leaders Trust, we have recently overhauled our curriculum and appointed specialist Subject Directors to support effective teaching.
Ofsted reported that pupils are now learning more and that our new, wider curriculum is well thought through.

Our recent Ofsted report recognises that we have put "effective improvement strategies" in place and there are "signs of effective improvements." We're on a journey and whilst we still have a way to go, we're very proud that inspectors recognise the progress we have made to date.

We help our students to attain high standards in all areas of the curriculum and make outstanding progress in the core subjects of English, mathematics, science and computer science.
We want our students to develop confidence and enjoyment of learning and life at Studio West. We also want our students to feel supported and develop the skills to be able to learn independently.
