Students are at the centre of everything we do and we want them to have high aspirations and to excel academically and socially. Through collaboration, every aspect of our work is of high quality.
At Studio West we put students at the centre of everything we do. We strive each day to provide a wealth of academic and extra-curricular opportunities, so our young people grow into successful students who achieve well and socially responsible and caring citizens, who make a difference to this wonderful community.
As a studio school, our holistic curriculum, which includes links with local business partners, provides opportunities for students to develop and apply a range of skills, including teamwork, critical thinking and broader life skills. Students of all abilities can thrive in this exciting learning environment, which nurtures their aspiration and improves their life chances, with high expectations and a good quality of education.
I am very proud to be leading Studio West, where every day we work together to lead with integrity, kindness and inclusiveness.

Well deserved praise for our Food Technology students today. Huge thanks to Ms Bruce and her team for creating such a brilliant opportunity.

"On behalf of the Food Teachers Centre, I would like to extend my thanks to the staff and students at Studio West.
I had the opportunity to deliver a Fish Hero masterclass at the school today and work with Ms Bruce and her team. I could not have been made more welcome by all the staff and students I met during the day.
During the sessions, the students were engaged, asking lots of questions and seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. When they entered the first session, I would say 90% of them said they wouldn’t touch the fish, never mind fillet it. However not 15 mins later, each one of them filleted, cooked and served their own mackerel dish. I was absolutely delighted at their efforts.
The students were very polite and many of them came to thank me at the end for the opportunity.
I felt it was really important to let you know how well the students worked and how much I enjoyed the day, please pass on my thanks to them all.
Also to Ms Bruce and her team for their help and support. I look forward to working with them all again in the future."

We help our students to attain high standards in all areas of the curriculum and make outstanding progress in the core subjects of English, mathematics, science and computer science.
We want our students to develop confidence and enjoyment of learning and life at Studio West. We also want our students to feel supported and develop the skills to be able to learn independently.
We aim to create in our students the desire to be respectful of others, develop high aspirations, make an active contribution to their community and embrace values which galvanise their future lives as parents, carers, workers and citizens.
We hope to equip our students with the skills and abilities they need to thrive in today’s modern world.
